This soundproofing material is specifically designed to offer maximum noise control for wall systems made of light gauge metal framing. All dB noise barriers are made with POE (polyolefin elastomer) – the highest performing sound barrier compound for mass loaded acoustic applications. POE is safe and does not off-gas or absorb dangerous chemicals. The sound abatement material’s flexibility allows the sound absorption to vibrate, converting sound into heat and improving noise reduction potential. POE does not become brittle with age.
